Preliminary Task
For the preliminary task which was set by my media teacher Mr.Robson, I was issued the task which was to create a front cover and contents page for a magazine for the genre of our school, which would ideally be distributed to pupils in my school. Although it was a school based genre we were allowed to chose any topic to base the magazine on. I started by drafting up both pages on plain A4 paper. Although i hadn't previously studied media i felt i had quite a decent level of knowledge about magazine, despite this i decided to conduct deep detailed research into them, such as common structures, layouts, colour schemes etc. Mr. Robson set us homework to outline the drafts to make them more visible for when they would be scanned later. I completely this job effectively and to a high standard to then go on making my draft on Adobe Photoshop CS3.

Double Page Spread Reseach
In order to produce my double page spread to the highest possible quality i decided to do some research into the possible on conent of my double page spread.
The contents of my double spread slightly changed since in my final product I focused more on a music based article rather than focusing on fashion, making it more suitable for a music magazine.
